We import beans through coffee brokers in the Bay Area after several steps have been taken to ensure quality. These steps include tasting prior to purchase and questioning the brokers about weather, production conditions, and quality. With the help of good brokers, A'Roma Roasters has been able to develop and maintain relationships with several estates in countries such as Brazil, Guatemala and India.
By staying with a particular estate over the years, we help support the infrastructure of the estate, which then goes on to ensure a quality product. When the weather changes, it is important for the farmers to know we will be there to help them through difficult times. This long-term relationship gives us access to information about a part of the world many of us only read about or see on television.
After A'Roma Roasters has decided to purchase beans, we carefully blend and roast them fresh for you. We roast most days of the week and the coffee you take home is never more than 2 days old.
